Just working

I know I've been away for some time now. I have been working very much. That's not I work more now, it's just I feel I can't switch off my outside job - inside my head. I feel always tired and I don't like it.I feel it doesn't remain any psycological space in my life.
I must find some balance. I need to focus more on the important things of life, the ones I like more.
I leave you now with a view of Sintra and with a picture of my bougainvillea with rain.

The view was taken from the balcony in my work and the flowers are mine, from my house.

Study: Stay-at-Home Mom Worth Nearly $117,000 a Year
Thursday, May 08, 2008

BOSTON — If a stay-at-home mom could be compensated in dollars rather than personal satisfaction and unconditional love, she'd rake in a nifty sum of nearly $117,000 a year.

Another party

My oldest daughter had her birthday on the April 21 but decided that the best day to have a party and invite her friends was the first of May. So we had the party.
It was everything very good, all went well and she and them were very happy. Me too.
Here it is she blowing the candles (again).

Other birthday cake

Here it is the cake she made.

It was a good day.

Another week

Things here have been quite "normal" after the agitated days of First Communion - and preparations to it - and the birhday of my oldest daughter.
The days were hot and that was not necessary at all. But now the weather is more pleasent.
The good thing of the hot days was the amount of laundry I washed.
Yesterday began a new week and it won't be free of agitation again: my birthday girl decided that she will have a party next 1 of May because, as nobody works and goes to school, everybidy will be able to come to her party.
So, party preparations, here I go: shopping, see if I have everything I need, see if the table towels are ready, etc. And double clean the house too. I want that everybody find the house spotless. Add to all this the fact that I work outside everyday all day long.
Well, never mind. Working outside brings me money and having all that work and trouble with the party makes my girl so happy.
Other subject. I'm thinking of changing my header. The title Alfazema (lavender) has everything to do with me but I think I don't need to always have an alfazema picture because the title has to do with me.
So I will think which one will be next.
For today I leave you with some pictures from a garden my husband restaured and mantains here.

The swan

Such beauty.

A lot of good moments - and parties

The rose

I have been quite busy this week, or rather, occupied in everyday duties. Lot's of hours at work. I don't like it.
Well, I couldn't post anything at all and I was uppset with that.
Today I'm all happy in my house and I'm not going to work because here we don't work today, every year in this day, because a lot of years ago people made a revolution that some people liked and others din't.
So, the good thing is in this day we don't go to work.
Here I'm am all happy.
As promised, here it goes some more pictures of ny girl's First Communion.
The cake and other cakes.

A carnation from a bunch I bought t decorate the house in that wonderful day.

And now pictures of my big girl birthday party that happened the day after the other one had hers. It was only for us. She decided that a bigger one will be made in the firts of may because it's holiday and everybody will be able to come.

And here is her cake.

It was a lot of work to alight all these candles and then blowing them out.

First Communion

I'm so tired but I'm happy.

Since some time ago I have been preparing The First Communion of my 8 year old girl.

Today was the big day.

What I felt and the great importance of all that is so much I really can't tell about that today.

But I think I will tell more about it this week.

In the picture above she is giving a rose to Our Lady after taking her Communion and in this one is the rose she gave.
