Flaunt Your Red Friday

Two dozen red roses

I just found at Walnuthaven Cottage that Poofing the Pillows does Flaunt your Red Friday and I decided to join.
Red is quite a happy colour so I'll show you some reds in my life. I'm afraid the pictures are not new but even so I will post them.
So, here they go.

Some roses my husband gave me in different occasions.

Roses from my husband

Anthuriums given by him too.

The rainbow

My red glasses given by whom? Him, as usual.

My glasses

Ah! These it was my mother that gave to me.

Roses from my mother

This pelargonium belongs to my mother. Such a vibrant red, isn't it?

I do like fuchias. These are so nice.

And to finish, for St. George.

Rainy days

Today it's going to be a bit hot.

We had some very nice rainy and fresh days, the ones I like. But Spring is going to its end and it's time for days to go hotter, which I don't like.

I took these pictures from on of my windows.

Pink Saturday

I'm in impatient mode. Not that I'm impatient with something, it's just, as I'm crazy for impatiens and mine are blooming everywhere, I can't stop talking about them and showing it to everybody.

Now go to How Sweet the Sound, at Kimberly's, to Pink Saturday. She's hosting a party with a lot of "pink ladies".

Hooked on Impatiens

Didn't I told you before that I'm hooked on impatiens? I can't help it.

See how nice they are. They are growing so well.

Such pretty things.

Outdoor Wednesday

'Lamp

The days here are quite hot but looks like today won't be be as dry and hot as yesterday, thanks God.
Feels good to be outside.

Nice shade

These pictures show a graden we have in Sintra, a private one that my husband restored and mantains. It's going more and more beautiful. It's very big. In our town we have some big private gardens, all of them very nice.

Blue Monday

Today is Blue Monday at Sally's on Smiling Sally.
I took this picture last Summer when we were on holiday. It was from a monastery, now a museum, in the North of Portugal.
Make me feel I want to go back to those wonderful places.

Pink Saturday

I must say, at my house the most predominant colour is pink. As a house of five girls - me included - there's no way of lacking of pink.

This bowl here belongs to my baby, five years old already, but the mug is mine.

Hooked on Impatiens and geraniums

Time for another Hooked on Fridays at Hooked on Houses.
Today I'll show you something I'm hooked on: impatiens and geraniums.

I remember, when I was a little girl, my grandmother planting lots of impatiens that grew bigger and bigger. For me they are a sombol of joy. They make me feel good.
Another thing are geraniums.
My grandmother, who was a very good garden, always had them so I, that follow my grandmother as an example for most things, always have geraniums too.

Today I leave you with only some examples but I will post more on due time.
