It's a New Year

It's a New Year, thanks be to God.

So we begin, once again.

Let's take advantage of this new time that God gives to us.

It's not  late, it's just the perfect time for you to be what you want to be and meant to be.

Let's begin.

A new time

So Christmas ended with the Three Wise Kings Feast Day. It's now time to not have anymore the Christmas Tree and other decorations. Some people rush to take them on the 7 of January, others take a little everyday. If you want, you  may take the Nativity too but even better is to leave it till Candlemass.

The best thing is to have pacience and take little by little and everyday a bit more so when the weekend arrives everything is done and ready to put in the attic, basement or whatever you have - this means that last weekend everything but the nativity should be taken away but never mind if you didn't finished it yet. Everyday a little and, when you realize it, things are done.

Even if I like Christmas so much it's good to see the house going back to the normal days. There is always a feeling of new beginning in each new year and with the Christmas gone till next December we feel it even more.

This year, or I must say even when last year was reaching his final days, something came to my mind and that was: to take care of myself.

This new year I will take care of myself and be very good to me.

And then I feel so strong, so able of really take care of myself and, by extension, of my house, of my home.

Yes, a new kitchen was to happen last year but, God willing, it will be this year. And also some other improvements in the livingroom and in my bedroom.

It's a new year, let's have that strenght, that conscience that we must take care of us, of our things, our life and that we are able to do it.

As I said in a previous post, let's begin.

A New Year - 2025

Usually I post more on Christmas time and this year that just finished I wanted to do the same and planned several posts, took pictures for that and all but being busy with all the things I needed to do, like buying presents, wrapping them, buying food, ingredients and making good things for everybody to eat, then the days of Christmas, the Eve's dinner and lunch on the Day, I ended not posting at all. Oh, well, never mind, it was a Holy Christmas, the Holy Night and the Day, everything was so good that I can only give thanks again and again for everything Our Lord and His Mother gave us.

Now it's a New Year. Let's give thanks again for all the peace and graces we received and ask that we may have a blessed year and that we will do as St. Paul said:

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory og God.

Thanks be to God.

Plans for a New Year

All these motivation sentences are in my Motivation board in Pinterest.

So now get up and begin transforming your dreams in reality.

You are never too old to set another Goal

or dream another Dream

-C.S. Lewis

and

It's never too late to be what you might have been

- George Eliot

So, let's do it, let's dare to fight for that dream. Have that goal. Plan it

A new begining

It's a new year and, after the busy times we had on Christmas and before, we feel we need to go back to normal.
However, we had to remember that Christmas only ended after the Epiphany: we had to have first the day of the Kings, remembering the visit they payed to the Holy Family and the presents they gave to the King of Kings.

But now let's think about the Year that is beginning.
Make plans. Think on what you would like to achieve in this year that Our Lord gives to us. Try to be better. Plan to be a better homemaker, a better...(fill the gap). Think of what you would like to do, places to go, books to read. Things to do at home.

There is something so special about new beginnings.
Take action, just begin and you will see things getting into shape, dreams being closer to be fulfilled.
Begin.

A fresh start

I decided that my moto for this year will be A Fresh Start.
Now I must say that for me the year begins in October and from there till January it's like a preface, a warm up and then in January it goes in full steam.

In 2017 I have been having in my mind the sentence: Make It Happen.

I will carry on with it this year but not with the idea that I am just continuing what I have done last year, I prefer to think about it as a fresh start with the innocence of the beginning and with its infinite hope.

Make it Happen

The Epiphany came and went away so it was the time to take the decorations out till next first day of December. I know that in many countries it's celebrated on the following Sunday but truly it happens on the 6 of January.

It made me a little nostalgic to take those Christmas things out and put them in boxes again but, on the other side, it's so good to begin a New Year, so full of hopes.
2017 is a year of expectations because it's the centenary of the Fatima Apparitions. We will see what Our Lady has for us.

I am full of good intentions for this year. I have plans. I read some things on Goal Setting and Plans. I always do that on every beginning of each year.

I have my Goals ready and written and I will keep reminding myself of something that I found at Laura Casey's Make it Happen: Surrender your Fear, Take the Leap, Make it Happen.
Very good.
My words for this year are Hope but also Action. My motto is "Take Action. Make it Happen."

I want to be who I truly am without the fear of being it.
