Arriving autumn

Here we are now feeling the Autumn arriving and, if it's not as obvious as in other countries more at the North, even so we can see the sins.
For instance, this tree of diospiros at Monserrate.

First of all, I must say that, translating on google, the answer for diospiros was kakis. I don't know if it's true. I must ask my husband.

Anyway, previous saturday, we went to the garden of Monserrate - more pictures in my blog Sintra, Glorious Eden - and again, this saturday we went there.
First most leaves of that tree were green, now most of them are brown.

Amazing how they changed in a week.

It's time to be cozy in the sofa with a throw - ah, I like that - and eat apple pie, which my husband already made.
I quite prefer the apple crumble and I'm planning to make it soon.
That amazing how, in all the blogosphere, people are feeling the same need of baking.
More news about it soon.

We have these trees in Virginia - persimmon tree. Yours in the picture is a Japanese persimmon tree. I love Japanese trees and plants - so elegant.

Yes, in the UK we call the tree persimmon, but in Italy it is called kaki. They really love it but I find the fruit a bit bland, give me an apple crumble any day.

Beautiful photos as usual. I love this time of the year and like most people, I'm also feeling the need to bake and to spend more time at home!

Dear Alfazema,
Your comment in my blog said that you were fond of my blog. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment that. :-)

Lovely photos! Both here, and in your photo blog! I have a photo blog also. Some day when you have the time, please stop by it.

Your previous post said that you are computerless. I so hope you will have your computer, soon! We do get so used to having them, do we not? :-)

The look of your blog is so lovely. The Header photo is soft and pink and lovely. And the whole blog is soft and lovely.

Gentle hugs,
Aunt Amelia
