Merry Christmas

AND it came to pass, that in those days there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that the whole world should be enrolled.
This enrolling was first made by Cyrinus, the governor of Syria.
And all went to be enrolled, every one into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem: because he was of the house and family of David,
To be enrolled with Mary his espoused wife, who was with child.
Luke,2
.........................................
The door has its wreath,
all the house is decorated, the tree is up and the crib is set.
Today I will kept doing tidy up - never ends - laundry an more shopping in the afternoon.
Tomorow I will be baking since the begining of the morning till late afternoon.
Then, we will go to my brother's house - and wife - to have dinner, the "consoada". There will be also my sister, her husband and boy and my mother and father. Also my brother's wife father, sister and nephews.
On the Christmas Day, after opening our presents and having breakfast, we will go to Mass and then home again for Christmas lunch. It will be in progress since before the presents and will be ready after Mass, when my mother and father and my brother and wife come to have lunch with us. Usually her sister, father and nephews come too but not this Christmas because they have other place and friends to go.
My sister, husband and boy won't come because they go to her husband's parent's house.
So, untill Boxing Day or maybe the day after, I will not blog again but I promise that after that I will post lots of pictures of my baking, the house, the table and everything Christmas related.
See you then and have a good Christmas.
God help us all, defend us and give His blessings over us.

A lot of things to do
I'd like to stay all day long on the Internet, visiting blogs, looking for websites all decorated with christmas things, looking for cookies recipes...
Well, but I have so many things to do so, get up and work.
. cleaning the ;
. vacuum ;
. wash the kitchen floor;
. shine my sink:
. the same as above but with the downstairs bathroom;
. empty the dishwasher and put breakfast things in;
. tidy up my bedroom and make the bed - the master of the house was there when I got up so I didn't made it yet;
. scrub the bathtub;
. dust all things in the diningroom (& library too & my husband's favorite spot to work);
. tidy and declutter the laundryroom;
. put those already washed cloths onth eline and wash some more - lots more;
. fold and put away the ones that are dry;. etc.
I have so many things to do that I, maybe, won't do everything.
I leave you now with some pictures of my Christmas tree.
In this moment I'm singing Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer and walking out of computerland.

The sun came back
It rained. And rained and rained. Day and night. Day and night. We couldn't put our clothes to dry in the sun because the sun was sleeping. We are not used to dry everything in the dryer so I just did it with my husband's shirts and towels.
We kept looking through the window but all we could see was rain. A strong one.
After long days and nights of continuos rain, it stoped.
Can you see the rainbow?
So now I'm all happy doing laundry to put on the line. I think I will wash five machines. let's hope I'll have space to put everything to dry.
Days are going brigther and I'm feeling more able to prepare everything for Christmas - yes, I'm late, I'm late.
More news tomorow.

Today's Flowers

My husband travels a lot. Well, this time he brought me these ladies slipers or little shoes, as we call them.
Aren't they amazing ? I just kept taling pictures of them as they are so beautiful.
He's hoping they last until Christmas as last years last, as you can see here.
For Today's Flowers
A Day in My Life
Yesterday I was suposed to post about my day.
Every month, on the 14, at Little Jenny Wren, there is A Day in My Life.
Yesterday it was 14 and I wanted so much to join and I couldn't because my little girl was not well: fever, cough and vomiting. So, I was not able to participate.
Today I will post about my day yesterday.
First, in the morning, we went to Mass as we do every Sunday.
It was pouring rain but with some sun smiling sometimes.
Lucky we were, because the moment we went outdoor, there was the sun. The same when we arrived at Mass. The same when we went out.
Then we went to the market to buy some fresh bread. When we were going to the car to go home, it fell down the whole sky in the form of rain. We were so wet, the only thing we wanted was to go home as quickly as we could.
I was afraid that the baby (4,5 years old baby!) could feel worse because, when we went to Mass she was already a tiny bit feverish. So it happened. The poor girl really felt bad and wanted to stay on my lap all the afternoon.
I couldn't say it was a bad thing for me because I had a good excuse to stay seated all day. I was not feeling very well too.
We saw movies and had a good rest.
Today she's better, praise the good Lord.

Pink Saturday
Today, for Pink Saturday, I will find some pictures of pink in my house and I will post here.
I will begin with pegs.I have a lot of clothes to wash and I want to put them in the line to dry! But where is the sun?Let's hope for some.
My pink bougainvillia.
The rain has been so hard that took away lots of flowers. I know, in this picture it is in the sun, but even with the rain, it's so pretty.
The window by the stairs.
I keep two pots of geraniums and they like the place. They are always nice.
My african violets. I have it on my kitchen's windowsill.
And to finish, three pink pretty things belonging to my young girls.
If you would like to join us go to How Sweet the Sound.
