Colours in my life - Yellow

A bit of sun, that we are so much in need.
One of my girls aprons, here dressed by another of the girls.
The yellow sand of Porto Santo, where my husband is making a garden in a new hotel .
This one was taken last summer when we were having our holidays there. Now he's there but comes back next friday. Hmmm, I can't wait.
He gave me this flowers
Couscous, an arab thing I like soooo much but I can't make it so well as he does. This one was made by him.

Colours in my life - Orange
Beti, é cor de laranja mesmo.
This it's me talking to dear Beti from Casa al Mare who said yesterday that she would come here again today to verify if the colour of today is orange or not. And yes, it is.
And we begin with these little flowers I like so much. Their leaves are small and long and grows covering the ground on sunny spots, sometimes the beach. I like to to put it in my kitchen to give a good mood in the morning as I wake up and go in.
This is a orange bougainvillia my husband planted in a Madeira Island hotel called Carlton. It's so pretty.
One of my aprons, with pot holder and bread bag.
Here again so you can view it better.
Another apron of mine, here dressed by my oldest daughter.
Here you can see better the pattern
And now proper oranges in my kitchen.

Colours in my life - Green
Ok. It will be green.
I should make this post only tomorow but I couldn't resist.
Why should I, anyway ???
So, here it goes.
Green.
Greenery that came with the orchids my husband gave me.

A corner in my home

A window to the garden of Miramar Hotel in Madeira Island

Rain

Some corner in Sintra

My green Harrods bag

A corner of my mother's house

Any pears?
I always have them because one of my girls likes them very much

A fern my mother gave me

A garden my husband made

My husband's apron
Here dressed by my oldest girl. The little one is my baby trying to put my husband's glasses inside the apron's pocket.

Some plates I have

Looks like tomorow will be orange. Or maybe not.

Colours in my life - Pink
From today and for some days, I will post about colours in my life.
I think that begining by pink is a good start.
So here it goes.
My pink bougainvillia
A pink datura, one of my favorite flowers
I'm crazy for pink pelargoniums
Pink begonias
Rosas de porcelana ( porcelaine roses or wax flowers) my husband gave me when he went to São Tomé. He heard me talking about it for ages because we had them in Angola. Some brides used to take them as their bridal bouquet.
Pretty things my little girls have
Impatiens
Laundry things
Next colour will be orange or green.

More saintpaulias beauty
To be or not to be... blue
Cameras have their mysteries.
This time was some pictures I wanted to take to my saintpaulias.
I went, all happy, camera in my hand, take a lot of pictures of the above mention flowers to show in my blog and in Flickr.
It came out very well and clear, the problem was the colour. This wonderful blue you can see is not real but I didn't do anything to change the real colour. It's purple! Deep purple!
How cam it be that it turned blue?
I just pointed the camera and... voilà! Blue!
Last year I took some pictutres to my mother's saintpaulia, a purple one like mine, and it was a nice purple that showed in the picture as you can see here.
So, why mine is bleu?
Well, maybe it's even nicer in blue. I just posted yesterday in the afternoon to Flickr and has, already, 129 views and 69 comments!
Ok, then.
The other plant came out in a more real colour: hers.
Here it is.
Well, never mind all that. In the end, it's quite funny.
